Iranian PE100 and PE80 pipe grade resin for water and gas pressure pipe – PE100 black compound, PE100 natural and EX3 (PE80), with full datasheets.
These are prime, virgin PE100 pipe grade resin and PE80 resin (pipe-grade dana) for pipe makers, not finished HDPE pipe. Ask for the rate CFR Karachi or for road delivery via Taftan.

- Density 0.945 g/cm³
- Class PE80
HDPE PE100 Natural – Pipe Grade (PE100)
PE100 Natural is a bimodal high density polyethylene pipe resin with 1-butene comonomer.
- MFR 0.22 g/10 min 190 °C / 5 kg
- Density 0.948 – 0.957 g/cm³

PE100 Black – HDPE Pipe Compound
PE100 Black is a bimodal high density polyethylene pipe compound with 1-butene comonomer and finely dispersed carbon black.
- MFR 0.22 g/10 min 190 °C / 5 kg
- Density 0.957 g/cm³
- MRS 10 MPa
PE100 & PE80 pipe grade – buyer’s guide for Pakistan
Pipe grades are bimodal HDPE resins classified by their minimum required strength (MRS): PE80 for 8 MPa and PE100 for 10 MPa at 50 years and 20 °C. In Pakistan they are used for water mains, irrigation, gas distribution and cable ducts. When you search for rates, look for PE100 pipe grade resin rather than “HDPE pipe price” – the latter returns finished pipe by diameter.
Compare pipe grades
| Grade | Iranian producers | Melt flow | Density (g/cm³) | Best for | Datasheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PE100 Black | Jam, Shazand | 0.22 190 °C / 5 kg | 0.957 | Pressure pipe for water and gas – ready to extrude | TDS PDF |
| HDPE PE100 Natural | Jam, Shazand | 0.22 190 °C / 5 kg | 0.948 – 0.957 | PE100 pipe with your own black or blue masterbatch | TDS PDF |
| HDPE EX3 | Amir Kabir | 0.45 190 °C / 5 kg | 0.945 | PE80 water and irrigation pipe, ducts | TDS PDF |
How to choose
- Black compound or natural? PE100 black compound already contains 2–2.5 % well-dispersed carbon black for UV protection and can be extruded directly. PE100 natural is used when the pipe maker adds its own black or blue masterbatch.
- PE100 or PE80? PE100 allows thinner walls at the same pressure rating (SDR); PE80 is still used for low-pressure irrigation and ducts.
- Project approval: utilities and water boards usually require pipe tested to ISO 4427 / EN 12201 with traceable resin. Ask us for the producer documents your project needs.
Typical applications in Pakistan
- Water supply mains and house connections
- Gas distribution pipe
- Irrigation and drip lines
- Cable and telecom ducts
- Industrial and mining pipelines
Processing tips
- Typical melt temperature 200–230 °C; use a vacuum sizing tank and adequate cooling length for thick walls.
- Dry the material if it has absorbed moisture during storage – carbon-black compounds pick up moisture more easily.
- Check ovality and wall thickness on the first metres of every new lot.
Market overview
Pipe demand in Pakistan comes from water-supply and sanitation schemes, housing societies, gas distribution and agriculture. Large public projects buy through tenders that specify PE100 pipe to international standards, so pipe makers need resin with traceable documents from a known producer. Irrigation and duct markets use PE80 and PE100 at lower pressure classes and are more price-sensitive.
Common pipe extrusion problems
- Sagging on thick walls: PE100 bimodal grades have better sag resistance; lower the melt temperature and improve cooling.
- Surface roughness: dry the material and check die temperature.
- Failed pressure tests: confirm the resin is PE100 class and the carbon black dispersion is correct; keep the lot certificate with each production batch.
- Voids in the wall: usually moisture – dry black compound before use.
Grade notes
PE100 Black – PE100 Black is a bimodal high density polyethylene pipe compound with 1-butene comonomer and finely dispersed carbon black. It delivers top-quality PE100 pressure pipes for water and gas at higher pressures or thinner walls than PE80, with long-term UV protection. Key strengths: pe100 black compound, excellent slow-crack-growth resistance, uv protected. In Pakistan it is used for water mains, gas distribution pipe and pressure ducts for utility projects.
HDPE PE100 Natural – PE100 Natural is a bimodal high density polyethylene pipe resin with 1-butene comonomer. Outstanding stress-crack resistance, high impact strength and outstanding hydrostatic strength make it the choice for PE100 pressure pipes for water and gas, relining and fittings. Key strengths: pe100 classified, outstanding escr, high impact strength. In Pakistan it is used for PE100 water and gas pressure pipe, compounded with black or blue masterbatch.
HDPE EX3 – HDPE EX3 is a natural high density polyethylene with 1-butene comonomer, classified as PE80. It offers good environmental stress-crack resistance combined with good impact strength for pressure pipes, drinking-water, gas and sewer pipes, drip irrigation and fittings. Key strengths: pe80 classified, good stress-crack resistance, good impact strength. In Pakistan it is used for PE80 water and irrigation pipe, cable ducts and conduit.
Supply to Pakistan
We ship PE100 and PE80 pipe grade from Iran in 25 kg bags on pallets (jumbo bags on request). Sea freight goes in 20′ and 40′ containers from Bandar Abbas to Karachi or Port Qasim; inland buyers can also receive trucks via Taftan. The shipping mode, route and Incoterm are agreed for each order, depending on quantity, destination and timing. Every shipment travels with a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and the producer datasheet.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between PE100 and PE80?
PE100 has a minimum required strength of 10 MPa, PE80 of 8 MPa. PE100 therefore allows thinner walls for the same pressure class.
Should I buy PE100 black compound or natural?
Buy black compound if you want to extrude directly with guaranteed carbon-black dispersion; buy natural if you add your own masterbatch or need blue or striped pipe.
Who produces PE100 in Iran?
PE100 black (CRP100B) and natural (CRP100N) are produced by Jam and Shazand (Arak) petrochemical plants; EX3 (PE80) by Amir Kabir Petrochemical.
Can you supply documents for water-board projects?
We supply the producer datasheet and certificate of analysis for each lot. Tell us which standard your project requires before ordering.
