PC 1012 is prime, virgin polycarbonate dana in the producer’s bags, with the rate given CFR Karachi or for road delivery via Taftan.
PC 1012 – Injection Moulding Grade
PC 1012 is a medium-viscosity polycarbonate for injection moulding with UV stabilisation and mould-release additives.
- MFR 10 – 12 g/10 min 300 °C / 1.2 kg
- Density 1.20 g/cm³
- Process Injection
PC 1012: polycarbonate injection grade
PC 1012 is a medium-viscosity polycarbonate with a melt flow of 10 to 12 g/10 min. It fills moulds well and keeps polycarbonate’s high impact strength. It contains UV stabiliser and a mould-release agent, so parts come out of the tool easily and hold up in light exposure.
| Grade | Melt flow | Density (g/cm³) | Best for | Datasheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PC 1012 | MFR 10 – 12 300 °C / 1.2 kg | 1.20 | LED housings, electrical parts | TDS PDF |
Typical parts
- LED bulb covers, diffusers and lighting housings
- Switch, socket and meter housings
- Transparent covers and windows for equipment
- Technical parts that must survive impact and heat
Moulding checklist
- Dry at 120 °C for 3 to 4 hours; moisture below 0.02 percent before moulding.
- Melt temperature 280 to 320 °C, mould temperature 80 to 100 °C for low stress.
- Keep residence time short and purge the barrel when stopping.
- Design with generous radii; sharp corners concentrate stress in PC.
Full datasheet: PC 1012. For sheet, see PC sheet grade.
Reading the datasheet
Melt flow of 10 to 12 g/10 min at 300 °C and 1.2 kg is the medium range: easy to mould but still tough. A notched Izod of at least 75 kJ/m² shows high impact strength. Check heat deflection temperature if the part sits close to an LED driver or lamp.
Design tips that reduce rejects
- Keep wall thickness even; PC shows sink marks and stress where thick and thin sections meet.
- Use generous draft for easy ejection; the mould-release additive helps but does not replace good draft.
- Avoid metal inserts pressed in cold, which can crack the part over time.
- Anneal critical parts if they will touch solvents or cleaners.
Ordering and delivery
Material leaves Iran in the producer’s original bags on pallets. Buyers in Pakistan can receive it by sea through Karachi or Port Qasim, or by road through Taftan. Route, packing and Incoterm are agreed order by order, because they depend on quantity, city and timing. Each shipment comes with a commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin.
For a rate, send the grade, the quantity and your city on WhatsApp or through the enquiry form. We reply within one business day.
Questions buyers ask
Why do my PC parts have silver streaks?
Almost always moisture. Check the dryer temperature, dew point and drying time.
Is PC 1012 transparent?
Yes. It is a clear grade and can be coloured with a PC-compatible masterbatch.
