PE compounds include pre-coloured and UV-stabilised polyethylene such as black PE100 pipe compound, where carbon black is dispersed at the resin producer for consistent pipe quality.

The PE100 black compound is prime material (pipe-grade dana) in producer bags, ready for pipe extrusion without extra masterbatch. Ask for the rate CFR Karachi.
PE100 Black – HDPE Pipe Compound
PE100 Black is a bimodal high density polyethylene pipe compound with 1-butene comonomer and finely dispersed carbon black.
- MFR 0.22 g/10 min 190 °C / 5 kg
- Density 0.957 g/cm³
- MRS 10 MPa
PE100 black pipe compound
A PE100 black compound is pipe-grade HDPE with carbon black already dispersed in it, ready for the extruder. It removes the most common cause of failed pipe tests: carbon black that is too low, too high or poorly mixed.
| Grade | Melt flow | Density (g/cm³) | Best for | Datasheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HDPE PE100 Black | MFR 0.22 190 °C / 5 kg | 0.957 | Water and gas pressure pipe | TDS PDF |
What the standards ask for
- PE100 means a minimum required strength (MRS) of 10 MPa, against 8 MPa for PE80. At the same pressure rating, PE100 pipe can have a thinner wall.
- Water pipe is commonly made to ISO 4427 and EN 12201. Gas pipe in Pakistan is usually specified to ISO 4437.
- Carbon black content of 2.0 to 2.5 percent, with good dispersion, protects the pipe from UV during storage and installation.
Compound or natural resin plus masterbatch?
Both routes are used. Natural PE100 with black masterbatch lets you make blue-striped or coloured pipe on the same line. The ready compound gives a more predictable result for tenders, because black content and dispersion are fixed at the compounding stage. If you prefer the masterbatch route, see HDPE PE100 Natural.
Extrusion notes
- Dry black compound before use; carbon black attracts moisture and causes voids.
- Extrude at about 190 to 220 °C and keep the line speed steady for even wall thickness.
- Keep the lot certificate with each production batch for tender documents.
Where PE100 pipe goes in Pakistan
- Water mains and distribution networks
- Gas distribution pipe (to the gas companies’ specifications)
- Sewerage force mains
- Industrial and mining pipelines
- Irrigation mains
Public water and gas projects usually require pipe to international standards with traceable material, which is where a certified black compound helps.
Reading the datasheet
Check melt flow at 190 °C and 5 kg (low, about 0.2), density around 0.957 g/cm³, MRS of 10 MPa, carbon black content and oxidation induction time (OIT). Slow-crack-growth resistance is what keeps a buried pipe in service for decades.
Ordering and delivery
Material leaves Iran in the producer’s original bags on pallets. Buyers in Pakistan can receive it by sea through Karachi or Port Qasim, or by road through Taftan. Route, packing and Incoterm are agreed order by order, because they depend on quantity, city and timing. Each shipment comes with a commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin.
For a rate, send the grade, the quantity and your city on WhatsApp or through the enquiry form. We reply within one business day.
Questions buyers ask
Can this compound be used for gas pipe?
It is a PE100 compound. Whether a pipe qualifies for gas depends on your pipe testing and the gas company’s approval. Send us the specification and we will share the relevant test data.
What is the difference between PE80 and PE100?
PE100 has a higher minimum required strength (10 MPa against 8 MPa). For the same pressure, PE100 pipe can have a thinner wall, or for the same wall it carries more pressure.
