HDPE injection moulding grade – buyer’s guide for Pakistan
HDPE injection grades are narrow-distribution polyethylenes with medium to high melt flow, designed to fill moulds quickly and give rigid, impact-resistant parts. Karachi price lists quote them as HDPE Injection. In Pakistan they are used by crate and pallet makers, household-products factories and closure manufacturers across Karachi, Lahore, Gujranwala and Faisalabad.
The two Iranian grades we supply cover the main needs: a lower-flow, tougher grade for large, heavy-duty parts and a high-flow grade for thin walls and fast cycles.
Compare HDPE injection grades
| Grade | Iranian producers | Melt flow | Density (g/cm³) | Best for | Datasheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HDPE 62N07 | Lorestan | 7 190 °C / 2.16 kg | 0.962 | Crates, pallets, buckets – rigid, UV-stabilised parts | TDS PDF |
| HDPE 52518 | Jam | 18 190 °C / 2.16 kg | 0.952 | Caps, closures, thin-wall housewares – fast cycles | TDS PDF |
How to choose
- Large, heavy-duty parts (bottle and vegetable crates, pallets, dustbins): choose a lower melt flow such as 62N07 for better impact strength and stress-crack resistance.
- Thin walls and long flow paths (caps, lids, cups, small housewares): a high melt flow grade such as 52518 fills the mould easily at lower pressure and shortens the cycle.
- Outdoor use: for parts left in the sun, add a UV masterbatch or choose a UV-stabilised grade – ask us which lot suits your application.
Typical applications in Pakistan
- Fruit, vegetable and bottle crates
- Plastic pallets for warehouses and exporters
- Buckets, tubs and dustbins
- Caps and closures for beverage and edible-oil bottles
- Household and kitchen products
Processing tips
- Typical melt temperature 190–250 °C and mould temperature 20–50 °C.
- Keep holding pressure long enough to avoid sink marks on thick crate ribs.
- Dry-blend colour masterbatch at 1–3 % for crates; check colour on the first shots of every new lot.
Market overview
Injection moulding is the most common plastics process in Pakistan and HDPE injection grades are used by hundreds of small and mid-sized moulders. Crate and pallet demand follows agriculture (fruit and vegetable seasons), beverages and export packing, while caps and closures follow bottled water, dairy and edible-oil production. Consistent melt flow from lot to lot matters more than the last dollar of price – a change in MFR means new machine settings and more rejects.
Common moulding problems
- Short shots on long ribs: use a higher-flow grade or raise melt temperature slightly.
- Warpage on crates: balance mould cooling; HDPE shrinks 1.5–3 % and needs uniform cooling.
- Brittle parts in winter: use a lower-MFR grade with better impact strength.
- Colour streaks: check masterbatch dosing and mixing; use a carrier compatible with HDPE.
Grade notes
HDPE 62N07 – HDPE 62N07 is an injection moulding grade with good impact strength, easy processing, high rigidity and UV resistance. It is especially suitable for crates, pallets, boxes, seats and heavy-duty housewares. Key strengths: high rigidity, good impact strength, uv resistant. In Pakistan it is used for fruit and vegetable crates, bottle crates, pallets and buckets.
HDPE 52518 – HDPE 52518 is a high-flow HDPE copolymer for injection moulding, offering a good balance between easy processing, flowability and mechanical properties. It is widely used for housewares, toys and flower pots. Key strengths: high fluidity, easy processing, balanced stiffness & impact. In Pakistan it is used for caps and closures, thin-wall housewares and small injection parts.
Supply to Pakistan
We ship HDPE injection grade from Iran in 25 kg bags on pallets (jumbo bags on request). Sea freight goes in 20′ and 40′ containers from Bandar Abbas to Karachi or Port Qasim; inland buyers can also receive trucks via Taftan. The shipping mode, route and Incoterm are agreed for each order, depending on quantity, destination and timing. Every shipment travels with a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and the producer datasheet.

Frequently asked questions
Which HDPE grade is used for plastic crates?
Crate makers usually choose a medium melt flow, high-density grade such as 62N07 because it combines rigidity with good impact strength.
Can I use 52518 for crates?
It can be used for small, light crates, but for heavy-duty crates and pallets a lower melt flow grade like 62N07 gives better impact and stress-crack resistance.
Who produces these grades in Iran?
62N07 is produced by Lorestan Petrochemical and 52518 by Jam Petrochemical. We confirm the producer and lot number in every offer.
Do you supply colour masterbatch as well?
Yes – black, white, colour and additive masterbatch can be loaded in the same container. See our masterbatch page.
