Polymer compounds: ready-to-use materials
A compound is a polymer that has already been mixed with what the product needs: carbon black, stabilisers, plasticisers, fillers or pigments. Buying a compound instead of mixing at the machine gives more consistent results and saves a mixing step. Our compound range covers two common needs in Pakistan.
Compound or masterbatch?
A compound is used as it is, at 100 percent. A masterbatch is a concentrate added at a few percent to natural resin. Compounds are the safer choice when the product must meet a standard, for example PE100 pipe that has to show 2 to 2.5 percent well-dispersed carbon black. Masterbatch is more flexible when you change colours often. See masterbatch for that route.

Why compounds are used in Pakistan
Many pipe, cable and hose makers in Pakistan are small or mid-sized plants without their own compounding lines. Ready compounds let them make products that meet standards without investing in mixers and twin-screw extruders. Compounds also make tender paperwork easier, because the material comes with a certificate for the whole formulation.
Quality points
- Ask for the lot certificate and check the values that matter for your product: carbon black content for pipe, hardness for PVC.
- Store compounds dry. Carbon-black compounds pick up moisture.
- Keep samples from each lot until your product passes its tests.
Ordering and delivery
Material leaves Iran in the producer’s original bags on pallets. Buyers in Pakistan can receive it by sea through Karachi or Port Qasim, or by road through Taftan. Route, packing and Incoterm are agreed order by order, because they depend on quantity, city and timing. Each shipment comes with a commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin.
