Frequently asked questions
What is bardana?
Bardana is the word used in Pakistan for jute (hessian) sacks used to pack wheat, rice, sugar and other goods.
Is hessian the same as burlap?
Yes – hessian (UK) and burlap (US) both mean woven jute fabric.
Why use jute sacks instead of PP woven sacks?
Jute breathes, so it reduces condensation and mould in stored grain, and it is biodegradable. PP woven sacks are lighter and cheaper; many buyers use both for different goods.
Do you send samples?
Samples of the fabric can be arranged before the first order.
